Abstract

Very few survived the COVID epidemic unscathed by the joys of virtual meetings. From virtual networking groups and happy hours to weekly team meetings, professionals were thrust into more Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet than they could have ever anticipated. While not to that extreme, in today’s increasingly virtual business landscape, effective client engagement in online meetings remains a key challenge. Traditional sales and relationship management strategies rely heavily on interpreting subtle behavioral and verbal cues, many of which are lost in remote settings. This practicum presents the design and prototyping of a multimodal AI framework that analyzes real-time audio-visual and text cues during virtual client interactions. The system integrates computer vision, speech-to-text transcription, sentiment analysis, and a lightweight dashboard interface to provide actionable insights to sales professionals and relationship managers. This paper outlines the academic grounding, technical design, implementation, and proposed evaluation of the prototype. It also discusses key considerations around privacy, ethics, and user trust in client-facing AI systems.
