Abstract

In this study, we have used Terraform for reliable and repeatable infrastructure deployment to automate the provisioning and resilience testing of Kubernetes on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). LitmusChaos, which is a Chaos Engineering framework was applied to introduce controlled failures into the cluster in order to test system reliability and fault tolerance during disruptive conditions. The finding of the experiment was also used to find weak aspects of recovery methods and application. The test involved the use of Prometheus as a monitoring system to capture performance metrics in real-time to allow an in-depth analysis of the stability of the system. Infrastructure as Code automation and observability-based insights are utilized in this work to prove the significance of proactive resilience testing. The main aim is to enhance the robustness of operations, reveal infrastructure and workload-level vulnerabilities, and develop a systematic method for assessing reliability in cloud-native workloads. This research is beneficial for increasing the use of chaos engineering among current Kubernetes ecosystems.
