Abstract
The research examined how effective and central sustainable finance technologies are, namely green fintech, at enhancing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliance within Ireland's finance ecosystem. With increased demand for ethical investments, and reciprocal transparency from regulation, we examined how finance entities are leveraging fintech-enabled platforms, including blockchain, AI, and big data, to meet ESG objectives. The key objectives are to assess adoption patterns, use of ESG datasets, potential implementation dilemmas, and how data governance frameworks can enhance sustainability. A dedicated positivist and deductive approach were employed by using solely secondary data from Kaggle, and then processed by employing quantitative analysis techniques in SPSS. The research utilized descriptive statistics and correlation and regression analysis on user behavior, ESG engagement, and potential predictors that influence loan approval, and rewards. The research uncovered that finance sustainable outcomes are significantly influenced by credit scores, referral sources, and ESG engagement/awareness, however the explanatory power of regression models were found to have low indices, highlighting inefficiencies across these finance entities. The research concludes with recommendations for finance entities and regulators to improve ESG compliance through stronger data governance and integration of technology. This research contains published academic knowledge contributions and accompanying practical requirements for stakeholders participating in Ireland's growing green fintech context.
