Abstract
The aim of the research is to evaluate the role of CBI for ensuring fair digital lending practices in Ireland. The motivation of the research is to uncover use of AI and machine learning algorithms by digital lenders and role of CVI to support fintech innovation. Further, the objectives consider regulatory frameworks of CBI, effectiveness of current regulations, challenges and strategies for promoting fair digital lending. The consideration of primary quantitative methods to conduct surveys of 320 participants as legal experts, students, financial professionals, and general consumers of the Irish community. Additionally, frequency and statistical analysis present IAF and SEAR regulations of CBI to promote ethical digital lending while maintaining transparency to protect consumers. The findings evaluated challenges of data privacy, algorithm bias, and lack of transparency influence fintech innovation although SupTech, RegTech, and regulatory sandboxes enhance supervision of CBI to secure online credit. Overall, CBI is efficient towards eliminating unfair lending processes to secure online borrowing and protecting consumers with fair regulatory practices in Ireland.
