Abstract
The purpose of the report is to present the steps taken towards creating a classical book recommendation system and then the results achieved from it. The report includes introduction, data description, methodology, analysis, results, and conclusions sections that cover every step of the project.
The overall goal of the project is to create a book recommendation system – one that takes in input, data about modern books, and produces an output which would be classical book recommendations. The recommendations would be based on the similarity between the topics (and words) withing the books. Some of the main models used in the project include LDA, SOM and K-means.
