Abstract

The purpose of this document is to set out the technical details for the development of Movie-io, a mobile web based application that allows users to rate and review movies. The key aspects of this application are that users can share lists of their favourite movies with friends and review other reviewers of the site. It also contains other functionality such as geo-location to report the nearest cinemas to the user. It is being developed in jQuery mobile, HTML and CSS for the front end and PHP with MySQL in the backend. This will allow for a modern, fast and responsive application.

The intended audience for this application are movie aficionados and people who would like a modern application to help them track the movies they have watched, record their thoughts on them and share those thoughts with their friends.
