Abstract

This paper creates a framework to be used by Instructional Designers (novice & experienced) to create e-learning content informed by Multiple Intelligences Theory (MI). The paper reviews related areas of Learning, Multiple Intelligence and Instructional Design (ID) and identifies the basis and the issues to be addressed. The paper also outlines the consideration, implications and limitations in the application of MI in the classroom and Instructional Design and how e-learning can address them. One of the key findings from this research is that it highlights the difficulty in designing assessment suitable for Multiple Intelligences in e-learning. The experimental evidence from this research suggests that e-learning framework constituted in the study is of immense benefit to Instructional Designers in creating the MI informed e-learning content.
