Abstract
Zero Trust has become an emerging security architecture for cloud native applications, but still many SaaS applications depend on role based access control or simple tenant checks, which are vulnerable to misconfigurations and data leakage across tenants. This project designs and implements a zero trust middleware for .Net Core based Azure Function API’s that will validate every API request and make tenant aware decision using a dynamic trust score calculation. This middleware will intercept every HTTP request derives request context details such as ip address, geolocation, tenant ID and access time then apply a configurable rule penalty to compute a numeric trust score for the request. Every decision is based on trust score to either allow or deny the request, this is done before executing any business logic of the API, also a Admin dashboard has been developed in .Net Core MVC that will allow the admin to setup the zero trust policy configurations and also Zero Trust has become an emerging security architecture for cloud native applications, but still many SaaS applications depend on role based access control or simple tenant checks, which are vulnerable to misconfigurations and data leakage across tenants.
