Abstract
n the age of the digital world there is rise of cyberattacks where multiple organizations are targeted by various threat actors. It is important for every organization to have a very strong cybersecurity foundation. Vulnerability management is one of the parts of cybersecurity which helps organizations stay ahead of threats by identifying and fixing weaknesses before attackers can exploit them. This research paper explores research where threat intelligence related to vulnerabilities can be identified and gathered from dark web and can be used to prevent the organization and it can increase the efficiency of vulnerability management.
The purpose of the research paper is to explore and find a proactive solution to prevent cyberattacks by monitoring the dark web. The research discusses various threats which are present on dark web and how monitoring those threats can help to improve the security of the organization. The research paper explores different traditional scanning such as Active Scanning and passive scanning and delves into dark web monitoring methods. The research paper discusses certain limitations for manual dark web monitoring due to the recent circumstances as multiple forums have been blocked and taken down by government agencies.
