Abstract

The study proposes a fraud detection framework of financial institutions, which is safe and scaled up, using machine learning alongside recent cybersecurity tools. The solution utilizes the serverless capabilities of AWS to handle transactions and predict them in real-time and comply with the legal requirements, including the GDPR and the PCI-DSS. Security is enhanced with the use of encryption, identity and access management and AWS WAF to eliminate malicious traffic before reaching pipeline. The fraud detection model that is deployed on SageMaker has a high degree of precision using tuned thresholds to significantly minimize both fraud missed and false purposes. Both security and compliance requirements are facilitated by logging and monitoring based on CloudWatch and CloudTrail. The end-to-end architecture itself indicates operational resistance, scalability under diverse workloads, and how cloud-native structures have the capacity to reinforce fraud control in the financial sector.
