Abstract

Nowadays, people in increasing numbers prefer independent and personalize trip rather than book an itinerary from travel agencies or follow the guidebooks. However, the process of search and collect travel information could be time-consuming and lacking efficiency sometimes. Although the progressing of technology such as ChatGPT can help to mitigate this situation due to the understanding of human language, it may lack real-time data and misunderstanding in some conditions. Therefore, this project aims to create a simple travel chatbot that combines multiple APIs in order to collect real-time data with ChatGPT to realizing natural language and associating users to organize their travel itineraries. In the end, we create a synthetic dataset with 15 variables to evaluate the travel chatbot system as well as utilizing a correlation matrix for analyzing the relationship between each other in order to understanding if the system could fit travelers’ demands and build a better travel chatbot in the further experiment.
