Abstract

This study examines the relationship between induction and employee commitment What are the links? Are they strong or weak? Are they positively or negatively related? A selected sample of individuals employed (in non-people management roles) in a medium sized organisation were questioned in order to ascertain bow their experiences of induction in the organisation affected their feelings in areas such as job clarity, job satisfaction, motivation and commitment. A comprehensive literature review of induction was also carried out. There is no claim by the author that the findings can be assumed to fit to all organisations.
