Abstract

On one side, there is an increasing amount of learning material available on the Internet and an increasing use of technology in learners' daily activities. On the other side, we see high level of disengagement in STEM area and a need for effective technology-based teaching and learning that can improve learning effectiveness, efficiency and learner satisfaction. This paper investigates the impact of employing personalisation in a programming module delivered at undergraduate level through the NEWTELP platform. Preliminary results have shown that students perceived that personalisation has improved their learning experience and their learning outcomes.
