Abstract

Allowing the youth in Ireland to maximize their grades and productivity is vital to creating a more talented workforce in Ireland. However, there has never been another time in human history where young people have faced as much expectation as the present day, children are almost expected to go to college once their school days are over, what was unthinkable for most families thirty years ago is now a social norm. Thus, the competitiveness for college places and the rapidly increasing nature of CAO points can place a huge amount of stress on young people, and that’s before the usual stresses of teenage life. If they’re fortunate enough to make it to college and participate their dream course, then graduate programs are also expecting at least 2:1 degrees, thus the pressure is constant to perform well academically for Ireland’s young generation.

My app is a solution for the young people of today to better organise all aspects of their life to ensure increased productivity and mental health. Users can input their daily tasks and receive feedback for what they have completed over time. Artificial Intelligence can assist students in creating healthy schedules.

I used HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript to code the front-end of the application, ensuring that all design was mobile first and the front-end code kept the UI fast and responsive. I implemented NodeJS as the backend framework for the application, as this allowed me to focus on JavaScript for front and back end and greatly improved efficiency during development.
