Abstract

In the Internet age learning and communication have arrived at a different level. E-learning now uses intelligent tutor system and applies adaptive hypermedia systems. It does not support social connectedness by allowing communication with other learners. This can lead to feelings of isolation amongst learners and ultimately learner demotivation. This paper presents Connect! - a stand alone component for adaptive learning system to enable social connectedness in e-learning.
