Abstract
Overseas tourists that visited Ireland in 2016 grew by 8.8% to 8.742 million. There are many companies that offer tours around Ireland but nothing like what Tours2Connect can offer. The problem being addressed is to enter a very niche market in which I am yet to find a competitor. Tours2Connect is a web application in which tour guides can register and offer tours to other users. This is different to other tour guiding companies as these tour guides would be self-employed and we are giving them a platform to display their tours that they offer. Other companies that offer tours such as ‘Irish day tours’ and ‘paddy wagon tours’ are huge companies, but their tours are very commercialized and the individuals giving the tours are employed by the companies, what Tours2Connect offers differently to the companies mentioned, is the fact that the tour guides aren’t employed by a company and they are doing the tours freelance, as they aren’t employed by us.
The objective of Tours2Connect is to breach the market and allow personalized tours to be given to tourists or people who wish to see the beautiful scenic tours that the country of Ireland offers, by tour guides who have a love for the country and are passionate about the topic or tour they are offering.
