This article outlines the main provisions of the Data  Protection (Amendment) Bill 2002. Focuses upon: (1) registration requirements; (2) the five  data  protection principles; (3) fair processing; (4) rights of the  data subject; (5) rights of access; (6) criminal records; (7) automated decision making; (8) sensitive  data; and (9) enforcement.
